Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh inspected the progress of the Sixth Towers project in Amman, which resumed work after being stalled since 2011. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to expedite the completion of the project as quickly as possible and to meet the highest standards, without accepting any delays in the scheduled timelines.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to boosting the national economy, ensuring the success of existing investments, and completing those that are stalled. Al-Khasawneh pointed out that the participation of the Greater Amman Municipality as a 31% shareholder in the project’s owning company contributed to the resumption of work on this project, which serves as a main gateway to the capital, Amman.
The Prime Minister, accompanied by Amman Mayor Dr. Yousef Shawarbeh, Chairman of Bayan Holding Company of Kuwait, and Chairman of Jordan Gate Company Abdulmughni Abdullah, was briefed on the progress stages of the project, which consists of two towers with a total area of 222,000 square meters.
The northern tower, comprising 38 floors, will be dedicated to residential apartments, while the southern tower will be used as a hotel and residential apartments. The first phase of the project, covering the northern tower with an area of 122,000 square meters, is expected to be completed by October, which includes sealing the exterior of the tower to begin interior finishing and the completion of the southern tower.
During his tour, the Prime Minister also reviewed the progress of the construction of a shopping mall that will link the two towers. Additionally, ample parking spaces have been provided, as the towers feature several basement levels designated for car parking.
