Jordan Gate Towers will host a fireworks and laser show in Amman on May 25 to mark Jordan’s 80th Independence Day celebrations, organisers said.

The event, which will feature a musical composition by Jordanian composer Haitham Sukkarieh, is part of nationwide celebrations scheduled across the Kingdom between May 23 and May 25.

The visual show will take place at Jordan Gate Towers in western Amman and will use advanced lighting systems, laser technology and visual effects aimed at creating a large-scale public celebration in the capital.

Organisers said the location was selected due to the towers’ height, central location and surrounding open spaces, allowing for panoramic views for visitors and residents.

Jordan Gate Company Chief Executive Officer Tareq Abdulrahman said the company’s participation in Independence Day celebrations for a second consecutive year reflects its commitment to supporting national events.

“The event reflects values of belonging and pride in Jordan and its journey of development and modernisation,” Abdulrahman said.

He added that Jordan Gate Towers have become a prominent urban landmark in Amman, noting that the company seeks to contribute to events that align with Jordan’s development ambitions.

The event comes as work continues on the Jordan Gate development project, including final finishing works at Lucent Residential Tower, a 39-storey building comprising 225 apartments.

The residential tower is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026, according to the company.
